The story revolves around two people Prem (Salman Khan) and Nisha(Madhuri Dixit). Its a romantic flick which showcases the relationship they share with eachother and the respective families. The story starts with Kailashnath ( Alok Nath) Prem's uncle is worried about getting Rajesh( Monish bahl), Prem's elder borther married. And he dicusses it with his brother in law and he suggets him about Professor Choudhary's ( Anupam kher) daughter Pooja ( Renukka Sahhane) . Coincedently Professor Choudhary is Kailashnaths college friend married to Kamladevi (Reema Lagoo). Both the families meet up and get Rajesh and Pooja married. This is when love blossoms between Prem and Nisha. Prem tries to woo Nisha in every possible way. Months passes by and Pooja gets pregant and calls her younger sisiter Nisha. Prem goes to bring Nisha along and is very happy and exited knowing the fact that Nisha would stay with them. In soft whispers Nisha and Prem commit love to each other. Prem who is very close to Pooja, elder sister of Nisha tells her everything.Then fate strikes a cruel blow and Pooja dies in a accident leaving her son behind.
Meanwhile Rajesh also worries about his motherless child and his health goes for a toss. Due to circumstances Nisha is forced to marry Rajesh. Prem and Nisha decide to sacrifice thier love for the family and Nisha agrees to marry Rajesh. But Fate interviens once again when Rajesh comes to know the truth behind Prem and Nisha's sacrifice and gets them married.
Hum Aapke Hain Kaun is the biggest grossing film in Indian Film Industry and has a amazing collection of music like didi tera dewar deewana, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun title track, Pehla Phela Pyaar hai,
Choclate Lime Juice, Mahi ne Mahi munder pe tere and many more.
All together it was a full package of romance,comedy and family drama.
